Nijah Dent is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Otterbein University. She has been a lover of theatre arts since she did her first musical in seventh grade: The Little Mermaid… she played one of Ursula’s tentacles (no small parts, right?). Since her tentacle days some of her favorite roles to play have been Miss Shingle in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Charlotte in A Little Night Music, and Nautica in Bring It On: The Musical.

Outside of theatre Nijah enjoys expressing her creativity through photography! Her portfolio consist of mainly portrait, and headshot work. In her time at Otterbein she discovered the importance of feeding the creative soul; although it seems as simple as pressing a button, getting to photograph people, capturing a moment in time, fills her creative soul to the brim.

In her free time Nijah can typically be found playing some of her favorite video games, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Mario Kart 8! She has unfortunately been humbled many times…
